Bush craft Knife Sharpening Service experiences review.
First off, I am a HUGE fan of CPM 3-V steel. A while back I was searching YouTube and came across a Bohler M-390 toughness test video. It was a true abuse demo which led me to the knife maker's company website SurviveKnives.com. After looking around the website to see what they were about and reading other reviews about their knives, I was really impressed. Guy Seiferd's Survival Knives are tested in real world situations to truly test the knife's boundaries.
After contacting Survive about being able to link their site under the "Knives I'd by" section they decided to send out one of Guy's GSO 5.1 knife in CPM 3V to be sharpened. Now after handling and sharpening this I can definitely say that it's a knife I'd buy. The value in Survive Knives wins. The knife came with about a 24 degree bevel on each side and was able to take a hair splitting edge while sharpening(very good for being that wide). This is a tough steel for sure. It was comfortable to hold, nicely balanced and overall a well made knife crafted here in the US. I think you will have no problems chopping, prying or even demolishing a house with a sharpened knife by Survive.
So if you're looking for one, larger all around, do anything, last a lifetime kind of survival knives.. I believe this is a top contender and well worth it.
